The Golden Nordic Ski Club is looking to fill the following positions for the 2026 - 2027 season.

Please note that all club staff, contractors, and volunteers are required to have a current police check clearance and follow SafeSport protocols. 

Head of Grooming Staff (paid, full-time staff, $40-45/hr) - Duties include conducting grooming 3-4 days per week of the Dawn Mountain Nordic trail network (33+ km), maintenance of all grooming equipment, management, hiring, training and supervising of grooming staff for the remaining days per week, and (in April, May and October) ensuring that the fleet of grooming equipment is in tip-top condition for the upcoming season using a combination of own labour and contractors. Chalet Staff (paid, part-time staff, TBD, 2025/26 was $22/hr) - Are you an outgoing person who is service oriented? Are you someone who loves welcoming guests with enthusiasm and professionalism. Are you detail oriented? Love tackling projects? Care about cleanliness? Enjoy winter weather? Chalet staff generally work an 8-hr shift ranging from 1 - 4 days/week from late November through the end of March. The responsibilities for Chalet staff include (and is not limited to) selling day tickets, outfitting guests with rental equipment, communicating (in-person, website, social media, emails, and phone), welcoming visitors and members, maintaining a clean building (yes, that includes cleaning the toilets), assisting in skier accidents, and supporting the General Manager with projects and events. All club staff have to adhere to our club's SafeSport policies and procedures. Perks include a club membership, use of rental equipment, and task-oriented ski breaks. CANSI Certified Nordic Ski Instructors (paid, part-time contractor, $35/hr for Level 1, $40/hr for Level 2, $45/hr for Level 3) - Teach private lessons, adult programs, and/or school groups. Please email us at programcoordinator@goldennordicclub.ca to apply.

Youth Program Coaches (volunteer) - Become certified and offer ski development programs for either Bunnyrabbits (3 - 5 year olds, meet 10x), Jackrabbits (6 - 9 year olds, meet 12x), and Track Attack (10 - 13 year olds, meet 12x). The club reimburses all coaches at the end of their coaching season for any required training courses. Biathlon Coaches (volunteer) - Become certified and contribute to our club’s emerging biathlon program. We offer youth and adult programs. The club reimburses all coaches at the end of their coaching season for any required training courses.
