April 12, 2026 Last day of grooming

8:00am Overcast and raining

Temp: +2.0 C

Most skate lanes were refreshed with our Ginzu groomer this morning. The trails are very soft from the temperatures and the overnight rain.

Raven and Marten loop are now closed for the season due to dirt sections at the snowmobile crossing and other spots. No signage to indicate they are closed (use at own risk - as always).

Be aware of hazards where the trails have melted away, especially the lower trails such as Moose South trail, Moose Meat, Caribou, and Marmot shortcut. There are no warning cones or emergency barrels on the trails anymore.

Use caution on descents.

Warm spring skiing at Dawn Mountain. Spring conditions usually means the trails are more firm and fast early in the morning if temperatures drop below zero overnight and slowing/softening as the temperatures heat up throughout the day. Afternoons are generally slow and slushy.

You can check our webcam and live weather feed on our website here.

Classic: Somewhat fair classic tracks. Check picture of board for classic ski details.

Skate: Good to great skate skiing. Check board for current details.

PLEASE NO WALKING ON TRAILS AND NO DOGS ON TRAILS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DIPSY DOODLE TRAIL.

Dawn Mountain Snowshoe Trails

April 4 - The snowshoe trails are still open. The snowshoe trails are getting soft with this warm weather. In places, people have punched through with their snowshoes on. Beware of snow giving way and sinking when going out when temperatures are above freezing. Enjoy the tranquil time in the forests and wetlands.

  • When crossing ski trails, walk beside the tracks and step over the ski grooves to keep them intact.
