Volunteers make our club awesome! We love volunteers.
Volunteers are the backbone of our club; without them, there would be no skiing, ski or snowshoe trails, special events, or youth programs. Last season, 123 club volunteers contributed over 2,000 hours towards the club.
Volunteers not only earn a discount for the following season's membership, but volunteering is fun! You meet other people, develop skills, and contribute to your club. There is a role for everyone: working with people or alone, using trail tools, or applying your computer skills. Below is a sample of what role(s) you may be interested in for this coming season.
Below are some of this season's volunteer opportunities.
special events (moonlight skis, Hoppet Spring race, Community Day, etc.)
Bunnyrabbits coach (ages 3-5)
Jackrabbits coach (6-9)
Track Attack coach (9-13)
youth program support: helping with rental equipment, helping skiers find their group, hot chocolate, etc.
trail maintenance (mostly in the fall)
rental equipment maintenance (waxing and fixing skis, fixing snowshoes & poles)
trail greeting (welcoming skiers to the trailhead, orient them)
Huckleberry Loppet (many roles, our club's main ski event, Feb 8-9, 2025)
