Friday December 7 to Sunday December 9, 2018 – WE ARE OPENING! A “soft opening weekend” at Dawn Mountain. On Friday, December 7th, the Chalet will be open for public use, and will be closed again on the evening of Sunday, December 9th. Sorry the Rental Shop will not be open this weekend.
During the week of Monday, December 10th, through Thursday, December 13, the Chalet will not be open, however, the washroom facilities (downstairs) will remain open for public use during the week.
We are aiming for an Official Opening on Saturday, December 15th, pending getting some snow between now and then.
The current conditions at Dawn Mountain: fair. Conditions for Classic are favourable over Skating.
Saturday: New snow, snowing lightly, temperature range from -10C to -14C.
Sunday: New snow, snowing lightly to moderately, temperature range from -6C to -10C
There will be very little variation in aspect or elevation.
The tracks will be slow due to cold temperatures. Please ensure you and your team are dressed appropriately.
