Volunteers Are Everything!
First and foremost, thanks for supporting Golden Nordic! Our club exists to run a world class operation as efficiently as possible. This cannot happen without tremendous volunteer support.
Join the Leaders!
Now we are asking your help to source new leaders for the club. We have both our president and treasurer stepping down this fall at our AGM and both positions are important to fill with keen and capable folks.
Our treasurer, Joanne has been extremely helpful in putting together the system we have for our staffing and everything from point of sale, to tracking staff payrolls. We work with a certified accountant for bookkeeping.
Our New Strategic Plan
Your leadership worked past the ski season to get ahead of the curve and set up our plans for the next few years.
As you all know, we started a 5 year strategic plan for the club in May and finished it by the end of June and have adopted it. The May club survey was an important part of the project.
This is a working plan to give direction but it can be changed as necessary depending on club priorities and how we see them changing.
If you have an interest in board or executive positions, please contact our president to find out what it is all about.
We have a good time with fellowship among our leaders and it is very satisfying to see our efforts to improve the club and its facilities come to fruition.

Program Coordination
We are looking for paid Coordinators for each of the 3 aspects of the GNSC programs 1. ski school 2. Youth program and 3. School programs. Email secretary@goldennordicclub.ca for Job descriptions and more info.

Please plan to attend and enjoy the company of your fellow members on Monday, May 6 at the Island Restaurant.
Starting at 6 PM, we will have snacks and mingle followed by recognition of our volunteer leaders. The evening will continue with a chance for all present to contribute to our strategic plan for the next five years. While our club is very strong and successful, keeping in touch with members through discussions of our future is important.
Our strategic planning process begins with a club survey that you can fill out online. You should have got that in your inbox last week: have a look...but if not you can find it on our website or directly HERE
We are looking for new leaders to help direct our clubs future. We hope to see you next Monday, May 6 at the Island!
